How are some of our customers getting on?

Trout Hotel:

Following the devastation caused by the Cockermouth floods in November 2009 the Trout is hoping to re-open at the end of May early June 2010.

The Trout Hotel offices are now in temporary accommodation, reception is up and running and currently taking reservations from June onwards. You can contact the Trout by mail at reservations@trouthotel.co.uk or on 01900 823591 or 01900 828682.

Work is progressing on the re build of all ground floor areas. The Riverside rooms are now being plastered, electrics are being rewired throughout. Kitchens have been redesigned and all new equipment ordered and the best bit, new design schemes for the bedrooms and front of house areas have been chosen.

There is an amazing team working on the hotel. All have committed themselves and their time to ensuring that the hotel re opens as close to the expected date as possible and looks wonderful when we do so.

The Bush InnBush Inn:

Here we are folks, 4 months down the line. How things have progressed after the fatefull 19/11. As you can see from the photo (right) we were well under the water, 5 feet of it!!

So where are we now?? There's light at the end of the tunnel.

Priorities! The bar is in place, plastering, plumbing and electrics are well on the way. We can't wait! 1st May.

Our resident quiz team can be reinstalled and lookout for our Thursday acoustic music nights.

For those of you with more cullinary inclinations, the kitchen is in the process of being refurbed, (thanks to Des) and we'll be back with a new lunchtime menu, Sundays as well!!

The FULL range of Jennings beers will be available including their regular guest brews.

Without the help and guidance of Bluefin, our insurance broker, Glendinnings, out major building contractor and the many sub-contractors we would not be nearing completion. Our thanks to all.

A very big thank you goes to our major brewery, Jennings for all the help and understanding they have shown us in these troubled times.
