Back Brewing at Jennings
Published on 22/01/2016
After just over a month since the flooding hit Cockermouth, once again Jennings Brewery has started brewing again today (Friday 22th January 2016).
For the second time in five years, the Brewery was completely shut down by damage caused by the intense storms and flooding in Cumbria last month.
The Jennings team have worked tirelessly from the moment they got back on site to get everything back in shape and ready for production to go ahead as quickly as possible.
Some of the original remedial work, which was introduced after the 2009 floods, enabled the production to get going sooner rather than later the second time around.
Richard Westwood, managing director of Marston’s Beer Company said: “It is great to be back on our feet again. The support we have had from our team, customers and local people have been intrinsic in getting the Brewery back into production so quickly and we look forward to brewing our great beers again”.
The first brew will of course be Cockerhoop!
