Our first blog is live, and we have a new team member!

Big news from the Jennings team - brewing is officially back on the map in Cockermouth!

We’re thrilled to welcome our new head brewer, Buster, who’s just joined the team and is already hard at work behind the scenes. With bags of passion, heaps of experience, and a deep love for traditional brewing methods, Buster is ready to get the brewery alive again, bring the craft of brewing back to our corner of Cumbria and get the heart of the town beating again.

Buster’s goal? To have our very first beer brewed and in your hands by this Summer, just in time for sunny beer gardens, chilled out afternoons, and crisp pints with good friends.

Even more excitingly, we're digging through the archives and dusting off some old favourites, recipes that have stood the test of time and are just waiting for a second life. Whether you’re a long-time local who remembers those legendary pours or new to the area and curious to taste a bit of history, we can’t wait to share them with you.

There’s something special about brewing here in Cockermouth - the heritage, the community, the pride. And now, with our new brewer on board, we’re raising a glass to the future of Jennings.

A word from Buster:

“When I first heard that Jennings had been acquired by local entrepreneurs, and brewing was to recommence in Cockermouth, I was really pleased, as I have fond memories of drinking Jennings beers in the past. Then the opportunity arose to join the team and be a part of this hugely exciting project, and I'm thrilled that I have become the latest Head Brewer of Jennings, and I look forward to recreating the best of the Jennings beers and bringing authentic Cumbrian Jennings back to drinkers in West Cumbria, the Lake District and beyond! It's a huge challenge, but one I'm looking forward to!”
